Georgia Kokeshi Doll by Sketch.inc for Lucie Kaas

Sketch.inc’s charming figurines are modern interpretations of traditional Japanese wooden Kokeshi dolls. Produced for Lucie Kaas, famous icons, such as Georgia O'Keeffe, are re-envisioned by Sketch.inc’s founder Becky Kemp.

Georgia O’Keeffe, the iconic artist and pioneer of the American modernism movement, was known for her colorful paintings of flowers, animal skulls, and desert landscapes. Ahead of her time, O'Keeffe was always wary of gender specific categorization and interpretation of her work. In her own words: “The men liked to put me down as the best woman painter. I think I’m one of the best painters”
