Dress Up Vase Large in White by Ceramic Japan
The dapper porcelain Dress Up vases were designed by Nendo for Ceramic Japan. The vases are hand-made in Aichi Prefecture, an area of Japan historically known for its ceramics. Nendo describes the set of three Dress Up vases as a 'family' which consists of a heavyset father, a slim mother and a small child. Each vase looks like an ordinary vase from one direction although each has its own ‘collar’ when viewed from the other side. The exterior of the vases is unglazed, for a clean, clothing-like texture, while the interior is glazed.
This is the 'father' vase with a perfectly pressed collar.
